All of our Play & Learns are suitable for 0-5 year olds, and are free open drop-in sessions, which means that you are free to attend for as long or as short as you want for the duration of the session. There is no need to book prior to attending any of the Play & Learn sessions, however if it becomes too full we may have to close the gate in order to adhere to the Health & Safety issues at each session and venue.

All sessions are free to attend at the moment, but we always welcome any voluntary contribution from families which would help towards purchasing and replenishing Play & Learn resources.

*Important changes: With effect from Monday 2nd November 2015 - All Play & learn sessions at Walton Oak & Fridays at the Centre will be postcoded, so only families who live within our reach area are able to attend the session. Play & Learn Guidelines;

  1. 1.Always sign in/out on our register

You will only need to sign out if you leave early before the session ends.

2. Your child(ren) are your responsibility at all times during the session

3. Healthy food ethos

We have a healthy food ethos and will provide water and a healthy snack at each session, however we ask families not to bring alternative snacks due to allergies that other children may have.

4. Please bring a piece of fruit to the sessions!

We’ve just recently started implementing this idea where we have asked parents if they would be happy to bring a piece of fruit to share during snack time at the Play & Learn sessions, as it helps the Centre to cut down on costs on resources, so that these can be put into other uses such as purchasing new resources and equipments or even replenishing arts and crafts supplies. You don’t have to bring a lot of fruits to the sessions, just one piece of fruit will be warmly welcomed. A basket will be available at the signing in register for you to donate your fruits.

  1. 5.Car parking

Please ensure that you park sensibly on the streets and take care not to block anyone’s drive way or garage. Unfortunately you won’t be able to park in the School car park as it is only available for staff use.

6. NO SMOKING environment
