Jitterbugs - Singing and Movement sessions (*£2 per family) - Postcoded

Important Changes to Jitterbugs Sessions - Wednesday 12 October 2016

The Jitterbugs session at Walton Oak has once again become increasingly busy and it has been difficult to predict how many people are going to attend each week. Consequently, we have had to turn people away which is not what we want to do and can be very frustrating and annoying for you when you have made your way to Walton Oak.

We went out to consultation in June 2016 and nearly all parents wanted the flexibility of not having to book on a weekly basis.  We have taken this on board and to meet the demand we will be running 2 sessions in the hope that we can keep numbers more manageable across both sessions.

Although some of you have expressed a preference for the second session most of you said that you would prefer the first session.  I am sure that there will be some teething problems initially whilst numbers across sessions even out and I hope you can bear with us whilst we find a suitable solution.

If the first session becomes overcrowded again we will review this and revert to looking at a booking system. If you are not a regular attendee and would like to try Jitterbugs we suggest you come to the second session at 10.30 a.m. to avoid being turned away.

The first session starts at 0930 and the second session starts at 1030.  Please arrive on time.

Important guidelines to Jitterbugs sessions

  1. 1.Encourage your child to sit with you and participate in the singing activities.

  1. 2.In order for your child to be fully involved in the session, limit distractions such as giving them good and drink and put dummies and mobile phones away until the session is over.

  1. 3.You can encourage your child to join in with the session by engaging with the singing and modelling the actions demonstrated by Emma-Jane.      This session works best if both parents and children fully participate.

  1. 4.No Hot Drinks Policy

  1. 5.No parking at the Walton Oak school car park.

*With effect from Wednesday 14 September 2016

There will be now be a £2 charge per family, payable at the session.
