Welcome to Walton le Wolds Cricket Club
Welcome to the Walton le Wolds Cricket Club Web Site.
Walton CC play their cricket in the village of Walton on the Wolds near Loughborough in the county of Leicestershire. We participate in the Leicestershire Senior Cricket League, the Thurday Nite League and arrange numerous Friendlies for Sundays.

Following a cloud burst at Leicester Caribeans the storm overflow broke out and this was the end result.
Having had them at 40-4 divine intervention prevailed.

Winter Nets start on the 20th Jan at the Ratcliffe College 9pm - £3 per session.
First XI and Second XI fixtures have been added to the web site, in addition, the league tables have been recreated.

Awards Supper
|
|
|
A very enjoyable evening which was well supported by members and those associated by the club.
Huge thanks to all those invloved in making the evening the success it was.
Awards were presented to the following:
First XI Batsman - C. Blood
First XI Bowler - B. Gohill
Second XI Batsman - L. Hayes
Second XI Bowler - D. Smith
Thursday XI Batsman - N. Stevenson
Thursday XI Bowler - M. Jones
Sunday XI Batsman - S. Neal
Sunday XI Bowler - L. Harrisson
Clubman of the Year - G. Archer
A specail award of a cricket ball mounted cabinet trophy was awarded to J. Hayes, aged 11, who took 6 wicket for 11 runs of 4 overs.
Bouquets of flowers were presented to our Tea Ladies, Jett, Jean, and Donna who kept the players fed and watered throughout the season. The latter two being voted best teas in Division One and Four of the LSL League.

GREAT NEWS!
At the LSL Awards Supper -
Stan Kettle picked up the Wicket Keeper of the entire league honour with 22 catches and 5 stumpings.
David Smith placed second in Div 4 for his bowling.
Congrats to you both - WELL DONE!!!
