Walton 2nds were on the road to Senior leauge new side University staff.
After getting lost not once but twice, we finally arrived just in time for the toss. Again short of men we bowled first, the opening pair put on 80 before Layzell finally made the breakthrough. Spike bowled nice and tight removing two more batsmen. With wickets in hand uni staff hit out and closed their innings on 204/8. In reply Walton turned to the old guard ie Roger Southward. Along with Dave Green they led Walton past the 50 mark with none down. Roger played at one outside off stump and played onto his stumps. Green played some nice shots untill caught at slip on 45. After that wickets fell quickly and Walton were finally all gone for 120. On now to our first home game, Sapcote lie in wait.......
